The Nike Lunarepic Flyknit Low is an unusual running shoe. The Flyknit bit refers to the upper which is made from a type of fabric that wraps around your foot, containing but not constraining it. It works very well. It is made from a variety of mixed colours based on a fairly generous range. Mine is the one in the photo, but there several other colour schemes to chose from. The left and right shoes have the same scheme but they don't match completely, which makes them interesting.
The sole is made from a fairly squishy material, so if you like a firm impact, this isn't for you. But I love the bounce. As soon as you put them on, you want to run. The sides and bottom of the sole have slits in them that look like the contours on a map. Their only drawback is that they they are a real pebble magnet. They are not noticeable on the move, but a pebble removing session seems to be obligatory after each run.
Overall I find this to be a very impressive shoe despite the pebble problem.
The 'Low' bit differentiates the shoe from its cousin which has a sort of built in sock.
